The Honda Campus All-Star Challenge (HCASC) supports Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) through an intense but friendly academic competition, taking place over two exciting days. It is one of Honda’s major philanthropic initiatives supporting education, and helps young people pursue their dreams! Today, I am contacting you on behalf of the American Honda Motor Companyto ask for your support in spreading awareness for this annual academic quiz competition. This competition, which took place April 1-2, gives teams a chance to win a share of more than $300,000 in grants awarded annually by Honda for their school.

What is the Honda Campus All-Star Challenge? HCASC is one of Honda’s largest and longest running philanthropic initiatives in the United States. Since 1989, Honda has awarded more than $6 million dollars in grants to the participating HBCUs. The 23^rd annual HCASC will take place in Los Angeles, CA from March 30 – April 3, 2012, with April 1-2 dedicated to the competition. This year’s “Great 48” includes HBCUs from all over the country including Morehouse, Fayetteville State, and Tuskegee, among others. The final two teams will compete for the National Champion title and the grand prize of $50,000 for the winning team to bring back to their school!
